Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Will TAT 2012 consider "encore" abstracts for presentation?
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by several indepent expert reviewers. Abstracts will be scheduled for presentation at TAT 2012 on the basis of reviewers' ratings. The inclusion of original data will increase the likelihood of being accepted for (oral or poster) presentation during TAT 2012. Abstracts reporting original clinical/translational study data will be considered in particular for oral presentation.
Q. What does "ESMO Partnership Meeting" status of TAT 2012 mean?
ESMO Partnership Meeting is a special designation of a congress that is not organized by ESMO itself, but the value of which for oncologists' education is recognized by ESMO. Only a few meetings have partnership status. ESMO members are entitled to receive 25% reduction on the registration fee of an ESMO Partnership meeting.
Q. Do the TAT organizers accept abstracts on phase 3 studies of targeted therapies?
The primary focus of this congress is at targeted agents in early-phase clinical development, in particular phase 1. However, phase 3 studies may be submitted and will be considered for scheduling in the program if the scientific content of the abstract is rated sufficiently high by our reviewers. If you wish to submit a phase 3 study, please select “Other clinical studies” as the abstract topic.

As of 2011, TAT congresses are held annually in Europe, with the venue alternating between Paris (odd years) and Amsterdam (even years). TAT meetings are always scheduled for the first half of March. The next TAT meetings will be TAT 2012, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, March 8-10, and TAT 2013, Paris, France, March 4-6.
